An extension on ceramics practice and previous research
Friendships and relationships have a strong effect on our own wellbeing, regardless of what we want at a given point in our lives. All experiences are valuable, but it is important to understand ourselves well enough to be able to judge what is really worth our energy.
Sometimes what is good for us may not be good for others, may not meet the social expectations of our given society or please our families, while sometimes we have to make sacrifices for other people in the short term so that our relationships and wellbeing are better in the long run.
Game pieces were hand-painted on plywood with laser-cut and etched acrylic components. The physicality of the objects is central to how the game is played and felt.
The cards are intended to facilitate both a connection with the game characters and an opportunity for introspection - reflection on relationships and the player's inner state.
