Swordmaster II:
Clash of Legends
A multi-sensory arcade fighting game
Swordmaster II: Clash of Legends draws inspiration from Street Fighter, examining how Japanese arcade fighting game aesthetics have shaped global gaming culture. The full title employs the satirical naming conventions typical of the genre.
Players alternate between attacking and defending. Defense requires mirroring an opponent's actions by reading animations, sound cues (each attack has a distinct pitch), or button patterns. Attack sequences increase in length with each turn. Players lose after two failed defenses or a timeout. Coins can be inserted during time pressure to continue - a direct reference to classic arcade culture's paid extension model.
Combat intensity escalates each round. High scores are recorded and displayed on the machine.
